Charles Seddon Forbes, namesake of Richard Seddon

The middle name of the somewhat disgruntled young Charles Forbes in the previous photo post was Seddon, which seems very likely to have been after Richard Seddon, the Prime Minister in power in New Zealand at the time Charles was born in 1902. The fact that Charles was commonly known as Dick, to distinguish him from his father whose name was also Charles, strengthens my belief that this is the correct origin of his middle name. My mother never knew her uncle by any other name than Dick.
