But I have to admit, the photo that tweaked my heart was the first -- it was busy with life viewed through the most interesting pilings.Joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07948553013206247354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-79169585300772236482016-05-31T03:19:29.544-07:002016-05-31T03:19:29.544-07:00Your blog post has given me itchy feet! So bridges had to yield to watercraft. I wish we could see and hear these places when the waterways were the great avenues of the city.Mike Brubakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13065245846262417519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-27379060477878049112016-05-28T16:43:48.333-07:002016-05-28T16:43:48.333-07:00Thanks Barbara. Of course, I have to give credit to my husband for several of those photos in the collage as well as the main viaduct photo, because there is no way I could have set up the camera on the bridge and then raced back to join the family at the cafe table in the 10 seconds allowed by the self-timer. That would have been a process sure to end in disaster, one way or another :-)Jofeathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290597697140624780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-36823534496855416322016-05-28T15:26:58.011-07:002016-05-28T15:26:58.011-07:00How lovely especially since you took these bridge ...How lovely especially since you took these bridge photos on your travels!Barbara Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08351113054045427775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-31273897739534079842016-05-28T13:41:29.321-07:002016-05-28T13:41:29.321-07:00They did well to cope with the noisy ducks and lon...They did well to cope with the noisy ducks and lone canoist distracting the audience, not to mention the weather.Jofeathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290597697140624780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-18681918889592571212016-05-28T10:23:58.986-07:002016-05-28T10:23:58.986-07:00A fine collection of bridge photographs. You looked like one of those cute little painted-face dolls sitting on that bridge with your Aunt Ivy. :) The Madrigal Singers river concert sounds like a lot of fun - except for the unfortunate weather. Sometimes Mother Nature just doesn't understand the importance of things. Obviously the chorus had rehearsed and planned long & arduously for such a unique undertaking!La Nightingailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04769079547153094005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-31944049649417651852016-05-28T06:52:13.532-07:002016-05-28T06:52:13.532-07:00Oh that Mathematical Bridge is aptly named. I like all your pictures but the covered bridges make me SIGH too because so many in Virginia have been destroyed either by fire or decay since most were made of wood.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17863357756727783017noreply@blogger.com
