Beaches are regularly closed due to shark sightings by lifesavers or patrol planes, but generally they are re-opened at short time later when considered safe. The main rules are to swim between the flags on patrolled beaches and not around dawn or dusk. If people are worried I guess they go to enclosed harbour swimming areas like Eastern Beach, but they won't get any surf there.Jofeathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290597697140624780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-60365962695356680342013-11-29T15:28:15.490-08:002013-11-29T15:28:15.490-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Jofeathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290597697140624780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753773086042054845.post-56110060064155351042013-11-29T14:12:24.807-08:002013-11-29T14:12:24.807-08:00A fun and informative post. I often wonder if it was just too horrible to discuss or if he didn't want to seem to brag about his own bravery or strength to survive.
